Alyson Hannigan stars as Julia Jones, who starts out the movie as a decidedly repulsive, overweight woman and is given an amazing makeover and goes on to romance the man of her dreams, Grant Fockyerdoder. Grant’s parents have a stereotypical Latino gay housekeeper, Eduardo, but pretty much everybody in the movie is stereotyped. Grant also appears in drag. This spoof of romantic comedies is just awful, like watching a train wreck. 6:15 p.m. on HBO.

The movie adaptation of Jonathan Larson’s Pulitzer Prize and Tony Award-winning musical stars most of the original cast: Anthony Rapp, Jesse L. Martin, Wilson Jermaine Hereddia, Idina Menzel, Adam Pascal and Taye Diggs, along with Tracie Thoms and Rosario Dawson. Based on “La Bohème,” it looks at a year in the lives of gay, straight, bi and trans friends living in New York’s East Village. 8 p.m. on Encore Drama.
The Big Gay Sketch Show
“All in the Gay Family” wonders what life would be like in the extremely gay household of Archie and Eddie. “The Ladyline” women’s hotline sketch gives new meaning to the word “hot.” Hazel, the overly zealous PFLAG mom, will do anything to get her gay son Donavon a date in “Mother’s Pride.” We are treated to “Afromations” throughout this episode with black activist Lamont and his overbearing woman. Lorna joneses for her Lorna Doone cookies and thinks the gays are conspiring against her. Lesbian musical duo Sappho’s Lips sing their “War on War” anthem. 8 p.m. on Logo.
National Bingo Night

Queer Duck: The Movie
Queer Duck is at it again. With the help of his friends Openly Gator, Bi-Polar Bear and Oscar Wildcat, Queer Duck confronts the challenges of being gay. When he meets Broadway legend Lola Buzzard, their friendship quickly turns into a marriage of convenience. Queer Duck soon finds himself questioning his sexuality and battling an evil Reverend determined to turn all gay people straight in this outrageous parody of all things queer. Features the voices of Billy West, Conan O’Brien, David Duchovny and Tim Curry, and written and created by Mike Reiss, a writer on “The Simpsons.” 10 p.m. on Showtime.
