July 22 is tournament day at the fields. The women’s division tournament is split into two divisions and the tournament is separate from the season. See who stands on top of the pile at the end of this day of single- elimination play. The B competitive men’s division has a tournament the same day and the D recreational co-ed division has their last day of regular season play.
You should also join us All-Star Sunday on July 29 as the best from each team come together for a final day of fun. Games start at 9:50 a.m. The All-Star festivities will be followed by a block party at 3 p.m. on Camac Street with Tavern on Camac and Venture Inn. The CBLSL is also inviting other Philadelphia GLBT sports leagues to share the fun on what will be an excellent day! All fans are invited to join us for cocktails on what will surely be a hot summer day.
And don’t forget — the City of Brotherly Love Softball League will be hosting Ballpark Bingo on July 27 in the Ballroom at the William Way Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender Community Center, 1315 Spruce St. Doors open at 7 p.m. to all the fun, food and drink. There will be 10 games played, with 10 single bingos and going on the same card to make a double bingo. Games include: five special games, block of nine numbers together, letter x, crazy t, quickie pick and the cover all!! We’ll also have all the tools you’ll need to play. Feeling lucky? Come out and support the league at one of our valued sponsors in the beautiful Gayborhood. You can learn more about the community center by visiting their Web site at www.waygay.org.
