Abigail Magann

“No. I can see how it would be difficult for a parent to explain it to a child in kindergarten. I can understand how some parents might be upset. But there shouldn’t be recognition for other groups, either. It should be across the board."

Nathan Reed
set designer

“No. Some people obviously have a problem with the issue. It’s dumb that it’s controversial. Nevertheless, it is. So it’s probably better for the parents to deal with the issue themselves if they choose to.”

Felicia Bracciale

Kensington

“Yes. It’s important for people to celebrate their heritage. Everybody has something difficult to celebrate. I’m very proud of my Italian heritage and would oppose any effort to cut me off from it.”

Matt Jezzi

“Yes, of course. It’s a civil-rights issue. I think there are age-appropriate ways to broach the subject, even to a child in kindergarten. You can speak in generalities about the community and focus on the positive, on the love. You don’t have to get into morality and sexuality.”
