Out singer-songwriter Ashley MacIsaac is taking Celtic music to the club with FDLER, his collaborative new album with producer and DJ Jay “Sticks” Andrews. MacIsaac has won three JUNO Awards for his albums that fused Celtic influences with folk and rock music, and he said he was looking to stretch his sounds into the realm of dance music, which prompted him to seek out a DJ.  

In between starring roles in high-profile stage play “Josephine” and a touring musical adaptation of “The Bodyguard,” Grammy-nominated, platinum-selling recording artist and actor Deborah Cox is set to headline this year’s Philly Pride.

Award-winning, and internationally renowned, out singer-songwriter SONiA is back on the road this month to promote her new double CD, “Live at the Maximal,” with a CD release concert May 20 at Phoenixville’s Steel City Coffeehouse.

Hit singer-songwriter Jewel is going full-circle on the tour for her most recent album, “Picking up the Pieces,” which was conceived as a bookend to her wildly successful 1995 debut album “Pieces of You.” For the latest album, Jewel returned to her folk and country roots.

Matmos is taking its new music for a spin, literally.

The electronic music and conceptual art duo, which consists of gay couple M.C. (Martin) Schmidt and Drew Daniel, recently released “Ultimate Care II,” which was made using and manipulating the sounds generated by the Whirlpool washing machine in the basement of their home.
