Lisa Cholodenko’s mainstream film about lesbian moms, “The Kids Are All Right,” is up for four Academy Awards this weekend: Best Picture, Best Actress (Annette Bening), Best Supporting Actor (Mark Ruffalo) and Best Original Screenplay (Cholodenko and Stuart Blumberg).
