Youth group supports Morris probe

The Pennsylvania Student Equality Coalition, a social-justice organization representing thousands of LGBTQ youth, has endorsed a state probe of the Nizah Morris case.

Days after the ribbon cutting for Philadelphia’s LGBT-friendly senior residences, a study was published that revealed LGB older adults across the country, including in Pennsylvania and New Jersey, are facing discrimination in housing.

More than 200 people turned out last weekend to celebrate the opening of an LGBT community center in Northeastern Pennsylvania — the first of its kind in the area.
