First Presbyterian Church of Lansdowne will host an Art Auction on Saturday, November 7th in the hall behind the church at Lansdowne and Greenwood Aves in Lansdowne. The preview will begin at 7:00 PM with the live auction starting at 7:30 PM. AJ Ross Auctions of Holbrook, NY will conduct the auction, which will feature more than 150 custom framed and matted works of art; lithographs, etchings, serigraphs, animation cells, water-colors, original oils signed by the artists, and documented sports memorabilia. Themes will run from the classical to the modern, including African and Asian works. Opening bids are generally 50% less than traditional framed gallery prices. Tickets for the event are $10 and the community is welcome! The ticket price includes a wine and cheese social with hors d'oeuvres and desserts throughout the auction. The funds raised by the event will be used toward a heating control system for the church and school.
