King of Prussia, PA — March 2014 – The Twisted World presents Villains & Vixens in its second year at The Doubletree in King of Prussia, PA this March 28-30, 2014. This 18 event spans an entire weekend of Steampunk, Renaissance, Fantasy, Sci-fi, Apocalyptic, Multi-genre shows, performances, panels and workshops presented by performers, writers, artists and vendors this a party that can’t be missed.
What makes The Twisted World different? They are multicultural, multi-genre, sex-positive, feminist, and welcoming of all genders. Their attendees aren’t numbers – they are part of the community. This is a "world where all people can come together and celebrate what makes us different…together."
Legendary Philadelphia musicians The Dead Milkmen will be making their convention debut as one of many musical acts to perform over the weekend. HVBRIS, a fun-loving, piratical, licentious, geeky band of fire freaks will be bringing their unique brand of fire performance. The White Elephant Burlesque Society will be hosting and performing in a post-prohibition speakeasy production, Hester’s Hatrack. Short Stack, self-described pint-size nerd girl comedian and one of Philadelphia’s own, appears in disproportionately terrifying combat boots and provides a completely alternative look into the world of geek. Swinging and swaying and reliving the magic of a really cool era, Baron Misuraca's Vampire Lounge takes a bite out of the very best of Frank Sinatra and friends!
Saturday’s experience includes an exclusive mega-performance with The Dead Milkmen, Ego Likeness, Live Not on Evil, V is for Villains, The White Elephant Burlesque Society, and The Young Werewolves.
Scheduled to appear as Author Guest of Honor is Patrick Thomas with the official release and book signings of his latest book, Startenders, and The Assassins’ Ball. The Art Show and Print shop will be open throughout the weekend showing such artists as the Artist Guest of Honor, Kyle Cassidy. Films will be screened throughout the weekend in the Twisted World Film Festival.
